Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
